Business Experience: First Career: Dugan spent 20 years at one midwestern manufacturing company. He started in the factory and ended serving 10 years as president and CEO with global niche market category leadership. While there he worked his way up the corporate ladder, managing each department in the firm, then created the sales, marketing, data processing, and trade show departments. Dugan created a new product category in the field, invented new products, redesigned and restaged aging products, marketing his way to global category leadership with one product line and domestic leadership with another. As President and CEO, he voted all the shares of the company, having sole P&L responsibility. The manufacturing plant produced a world beating health and beauty product. Dugan was managing all staffing, production, legal, finance, and marketing issues, and building category dominant brands in a niche of the health and beauty market. While there he founded a thriving web community that served the entire industry. Second Career: 4 Years as Web Portal Operator, webmaster, web marketing coach. During this time Dugan was Founder and President of a web services provider offering hosting and email marketing services as well as traditional advertising and marketing agency services. Sales grew at a rate of 100% per year until tech sector anddotcom market trends suggested a holistic career review that directed him to see the core of his practice as market leadership coaching. This work has evolved into a consulting practice where Dugan now works primarily as a consultant and marketing coach, helping others find and enjoy their own successes. Dugan has handled corporate image campaigns, managed health and beauty products, marketed services as diverse as Medical Devices, Skin Care products, Private Pilot Flight School and "Doggy Day Care". He developed their Salon Operator Certification Training Program, obtained approval of the program in all states with salon operator training requirements, organized the program, recruited speakers, delivered two of 8 segments, and assisted with test proctoring for several years. Regulatory Affairs Manager: Dugan has accomplished or managed FDA, EPA, and State Agency compliance for various products or services including state mandated operator training and certification programs. State agency approval was obtained for training programs and technical manuals. Legal / Expert Witness / Intellectual Property / Trademarks, Copyrights / Product Liability : Dugan has testified in court as an expert witness, winning dismissal from suit for his employer or client. Dugan has been involved in trademark registrations, defense of trademarks, and in intellectual property suits. He has experience with depositions, pleadings, claims, filings, and the giving of testimony. He has also defended his firm from legal product liability. His first E-commerce site was responsible for over $1,000,000 in first year sales for its owner. Web Portal and Web Community Developer: Dugan's first web portal and community went to the top of its industry and the most popular portal in the category. Site traffic was as high as 2000 daily visitors and 50,000 daily page views. Site Hits were 4,000,000 hits per month at peak. Search engine placement was #1 in its category for years. Search Engine Optimization: Dugan is very good at obtaining search engine placement in top ten, even top 3 for desired phrases. Sites have been placed tops in field at Google, Yahoo, AOL, MSN, AltaVista, Lycos, Webcrawler, many more. This service is both art and science. Dugan has performed volunteer and ministry service as a teacher of prayer and as a Men's Small Group leader. He held the position of Key Man in the Promise Keepers Ministry, organizing trips for 70 men or more to local Promise Keeper Events. Family: Lonn Dugan is happily married to Deb Dugan. They have five children. One serves in the U.S. Marines, and spent time on guard duty for the President of the United States, One teaches English as a second language in China. One is studying Environmental Science in College, while another is studying what to study in college ; ) The youngest is in high school.
